It is soft to the touch. The belt buckles are good quality also. Now does this belt compare to the Kore Essentials belts – No. For the money these belts are a very good value. The only feedback I could give is the start of the belt ratchet teeth is a little long and should be moved a little closer to the tip / start of the belt.
